Chicken Alfredo Pizza deliciousness

So last night, I was really craving some pizza! Sidenote: Taft and I are saving our money the best we can, we have done that by trying really hard not to eat out! It has been working, we can definitely see the health and financial benefits of eating at home! Back to the pizza, so my soon to be sister in law made Taft and I some AWESOME and I mean awesome, chicken alfredo pizza. So why not share it with the blogging world? It is absolutely delicious. No, I won't have health information, like fat, cholesterol, etc..  Or pictures! I totally spaced taking pictures of the food I was preparing! You are just going to have to trust me, it is delicious! I use my best friends mom's pizza dough recipe, because it is the best of all time. Ever.

Pizza Dough:
1 Package Active Dry Yeast (About 2 1/4 tsp.)
1 Cup warm water
1 teaspoon sugar (I use a 1/4 cup, it makes the dough so much sweeter!)
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 1/2 cups all-purpose or whole wheat flour
*If using self-rising flour, omit salt.

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in remaining ingredients; beat vigorously 20 strokes. Let rest about 5 minutes.

Preheat oven: 425 degrees
Always put dough onto a greased and/or floured pan!
Add your favorite ingredients!
Bake: 20-25 minutes or until cheese is light brown

Super simple right?! This dough recipe is almost fool proof, the dough gets thick and I find it much easier to use your hand to stir.. that is just me though. I always cook my dough just for about six minutes as the oven heats up.

Chicken Alfredo Pizza:
(Warning: I usually eyeball pizza toppings, so just do what you think is best. Have a good ratio of everything on the pizza, but do what you like!)
1 Chicken breast, cooked and cut into bite size pieces
1 small red onion, diced into small pieces
1/2 package of bacon, cooked and cut into bite size pieces
1 package of mozzarella cheese
1/2 jar Alfredo pasta sauce

Put everything on top of the pizza, pop the pizza back into the oven until cheese is a golden brown.

Tips and Tricks:
*I usually cook my chicken on a George Foreman grill right in the kitchen. It is super easy and more convenient for me.
* I don't usually use a whole, small, red onion. I only use about a half of one. If you are making two pizzas a whole, small, red onion will do you just fine!
* 1 package of bacon is more than enough for two pizzas, if you like extra bacon throw it on there! We won't judge you!
* If you like extra cheesy pizza, add more cheese! For me, the cheesier the better!
* The best alfredo sauce is Bertolli! Use what you like or what you can afford! 1/2 a jar is plenty for one pizza!
*Remember, the best thing about pizza is, you can make it your own! Have fun when making pizza! Let little ones make their own mini pizzas!

I am sorry I don't have pictures but I will surely get some up next time I put up a recipe!
I hope you enjoy!
Happy eating!
