Married Life

Okay, things have been so crazy, wild, hectic busy that I haven't had time to blog! But, Taft and I are married! It was a beautiful sealing ceremony, a fantastic day for a photoshoot, and a great luncheon to spend time with those who love us. We spent the next week in the Salt Lake, Utah area for our honeymoon and LOVED it! We had a ton of fun! We swam/ hot tubbed almost every single day! It was such a nice break from the reality that was about to hit us! After a week in what I like to call the "Rose Colored Glasses" phase, we came back home to the Land of Entrapment... New Mexico. And started our lives together. My parents, sister and a good family friend moved our bed, dressers, cleaning supplies and coffee tables into our first home. That helped A TON! Taft and I are truly blessed to have such an awesome family! Ever since last Friday we are just trying to make this house a home. It is coming together and is starting to really become the home I would like. We still have a ways to go but it will be great! It's all about the adventure!

I am starting to budget our fiances and start a cleaning schedule... I'm not one of those cool blogger wives that has the free downloadable template but I will try and break down what works best for us in the best way I possibly can, so stay tuned!

Morgan

The Best Free Fonts

So anyone who knows me knows I love to do crafts... sometimes. I have to be in the crafty mood to do crafts. And because Taft and I are getting our own place soon I am in the craft zone. Free fonts are the new thing, and it took me forever to figure out how to use them but once I did, it was so EASY! My good friend Tayler helped me out though ha.

The best site is... http://kevinandamanda.com/fonts/fontsforpeas/
Seriously, it s bomb. Now if you struggle how to download to your computer use this link... http://lilluna.com/adding-text-to-pics-blogging-tips-downloading-and-installing-fonts/ or this link... http://kevinandamanda.com/fonts/fontsforpeas/how-do-i-use-these-fonts/   they both rock and are easy to follow. Happy Birthday Preston and Carter!

I am marrying into a family where I will go from having no nieces and nephews... I am the oldest.. To having 7 within this year! It is seriously so crazy! But I absolutely LOVE this giant family of mine. I am so excited to be an Aunt to my sweet nephews and nieces. I have felt like I've been playing auntie the whole time Taft and I have been together. I immediately fell in love with Taytum and Preston, they are so spunky and fun. I met Noah, (who has a baby sister Hannah on the way! Jessie is due July 9th and I cannot wait to meet this sweet baby) when Taft and I went to the April 2013 LDS General Conference. He was more shy and reserved than Taytum and Preston but he warmed up eventually. Derrick and Sallee came back to visit for the entire summer. They have two kiddos Carter and miss Bentlee Jo. These two cuties immediately had their soon to be Aunt Morgan wrapped around their fingers. I do not want them to go back home, I will probably cry.

Today we celebrated Carter's fourth birthday and Preston's second birthday. We had a ton of fun! We had an immediate family dinner, which is always such a fun time! Derrick made and awesome Hulk-smash! cake for dessert. We opened gifts and then the extended family came over for cake and ice cream! We always play cornhole... if you don't know what that is click this URL and build or buy yourself a set and get out and play! It is so much fun!! http://www.cornholehowto.com/

I hope all of you remember how important your family is and make it known to them that you love them!

Happy Independence Day!

Today is a very important day to me and everyone else who is a proud American. Having a father who served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years I am very blessed and thankful for his honor and sacrifice. I have great respect for our service men and women of the past, present and the future. Freedom isn't free. Everyone should remember that.
This is mine and Taft's first Fourth of July we spent together. On the third Tafts entire family, and I mean ENTIRE family! My family, the four of us, compared to the 55 of them had a great time! We played cornhole, dad's new favorite game. Ate some yummy food and watched the fireworks the City of Farmington puts on. Needless to say it was a good day.
Today we didn't do much, this morning I spent the entire morning and afternoon putting together our wedding invitations, that was hectic to say the least. All sorts of issues were coming up but they got done and thats all that matters. My family went to Durango, CO to see a movie and to watch those fireworks. Taft and I started a project for momma bear and then we just kicked the rest of the evening. Around 9:00 we started playing with sparklers we got from my Aunt Lorri from my Price, UT bridal shower. It started raining so we had to come inside and watch a movie. Today marks only 30 more days for us until we are married! yeeee! I cannot wait!!

Here are some pictures of the past two days!
Enjoy!
xoxo.

Pardon my scared face, the sparkler was a little too close for my liking.

                                                                   Double sparklers!

My mother, she is the bomb.com    Literally.

I'm an angel. Check out my halo.

We are Engaged!

So here is Part 2 of the post called, The Beginning. Now, I do not have the video or other pictures up of Taft and I when we got engaged, I will get them up soon! But this moment was truly one of the best moments of my entire life. I will tell the story from my side and his side.

My version:
Friday May 17, 2013 I was going up to Utah to find a dress, get my sister her dress and do a bunch of other wedding things. Weird, I know. Taft and I weren't engaged when wedding planning had started, but I knew it was coming! I had been bugging Taft all week, we need to get engaged! People are starting to talk about us getting married and I want to make the announcement already! All he would say is, "I'm working on it." Ha, fine. Have it your way then. So I am about to leave for Utah, I hadn't been able to see Taft before I left, and I was sad. I wanted to be with him. He couldn't FaceTime with me because he was having a family BBQ with another family. Of course, I was upset. But whatever. I will see him Sunday when I get home. Saturday May 18, 2013 I go wedding dress shopping and find my dream dress. It is absolutely perfect, I had the 'bridal moment' that you see on the TV show Say Yes to the Dress! I was so excited! We went to the mall and shopped, ate some food and just had nice quality family time. My mom wanted to go and check out the temple grounds where Taft and I would be getting married at. None of us had been to the Mt. Timpanogus temple before so this was exciting! Of course I was excited, but I was also very sad, my eternal companion was eight hours away and I was at our temple. The place where we will be sealed for time and all eternity. I was walking around the temple with my family, and I was pulling out my phone to text Taft to tell him how much I love and miss him, when I saw him, standing under the Angel Moroni waiting for me. I started crying, but then I got too excited to cry because it was happening! I was about to be proposed to! I run over to Taft and give him the biggest hug ever! He whispers in my ear, "I love you Morgan, and I want you for all of eternity." He got down on one knee and proposed. I couldn't have been happier, it was the perfect moment, the perfect day. We have it all on video and about 30-45 pictures of it actually happening. I was beaming.

Taft's Version:
Now, I may not do a very good job but I can assume it went like this.
Friday May 17, 2013 I woke up at 6 am to drive to SLC Utah where I will get Morgan's ring made. She doesn't know I am leaving the state, let alone leaving to get her ring and to propose to her the next day. She will be so surprised.
Saturday May 18, 2013 today is the big day! Today I will ask Morgan to be my eternal companion. The plan was to propose at 5:30pm at the East side of the temple, but I was ready to go at 3:00... (Anyone who knows Taft, knows he is a planner and he is always always always on time!) Her sister texted me and told me to go to the temple at 4:30pm. *panic sets in* I fly down the freeway, swerving in and out of traffic, I feel like I belong in Fast and Furious. I get to the temple, and I am waiting.. (We got lost...)

I can't tell you what the rest of the story was like for him, but I can imagine he felt the immense love for me, that I felt for him. All I know is this, Taft and I only have 48 more days until we are sealed for time and all eternity. I know that this is the best decision I will ever make in my entire life. I know Taft and I were meant to be married and to raise a family together, we were meant to find each other for reasons known, and reasons that will soon be revealed to us. He is my rock, and my love for him grows with each new day. People say a love like this comes once in a lifetime, I have found it. When I think of home and happiness, I think of Taft.
